That is not entirely correct.  (... even though some people seemed to have 
been writing obituaries and farewell telegrams...)

All that was indicated in the original email was that the current officers 
would not stand, and that (implicitly) there is a likelihood that the DAANZ 
may be de-registered as a result.
The apparent reason was that the hobby size and activities do not warrant an 
incorporated structure (and the costs, and the effort, and the Rules...)

The playing of Diplomacy and boardgames won't change the tiniest bit.
However much or little there is - those who organise and play at tournmts 
and clubs will most probably continue.  The games day will continue.

There was a Dip & Boardgames hobby before "DAANZ Inc" existed, and its 
disappearance in itself won't change that.
