Oh my...have we all lost our minds. This whole issue is
patently ridiculous.
And, the solution is obvious...
The BC should be scrapped. As it stands currently it is FAR FAR
more detrimental to the hobby than beneficial. And with respect to
those who conceived of and implemented the trophy, I'm sure that for a
certain era it was good and appropriate, but now it is just a source of
contention. (And has been since around the time of the BC BC fiasco,
not that I'm attributing any wrong, or wrong motive, to the individuals
involved in that -or this - event, it was and still is the nature of the
competitive beast.)
I realise the BC may encourage some to attend tournaments, but I
believe it is only a minority. And to have it and its related issues
disrupt and divide the hobby so extremely, is obviously antithetical to
the original reason for its existence.
Let's all get off our high horses and make a decision to improve
the atmosphere of the hobby.
