Actually Craig, Sean says that "this is a dispute with the association"
So, to my mind its Sean vs DAANZ. As such the Exec is the DAANZ elected representatives, so it would be thier responsibility to resolve the dispute with Sean, not me. Ironically, since Sean is ON the Exec, he has a dispute with himself. Its a significant conflict of interest !

One part of me is rolling on the floor in fits of laughter at the hilarity of the situation. Another part of me is quite sad that one person who has no respect for others opinions, nor the democratic process that he should be upholding as president, can ruin the fun for so many others. It is amazing the lengths some people will go to......

I know that there is NO POINT AT ALL in meeting with Sean to discuss this as he has made it clear he will not budge on the issue and he doesnt care about the destructive consequences of his 'dispute'. I have no desire to waste my time and energy on such a fruitless arguement. I've had enough "Coleman Moments" to last a lifetime, thankyou.

I dont want to be accused (again) of trying to split the hobby. I'd rather walk away than contribute to its destruction. I'm sure it can manage to destroy itself without my help.

Unfortunately, I think that under this president things are going to get worse before they get better. Once he's won his beloved Bismark Cup and finished running things into the ground, give me a call. If the damage doesnt make the DAANZ a 'write-off' then I'll take part in the rebuilding process. I do believe in the original ideals of the DAANZ and I do believe that the hobby needs a vehicle such as the DAANZ to be able to reach its full potential. However, the vehicle has been hijacked and this hijacker has a bomb.

I do not think that I can contribute to the DAANZ when I am always up against opposition. It seems I have to fight for every inch. I had to fight to get the ANZAC Cup through and now I have had to fight again here for GongCon. It does not appear to be worth the effort and the angst.

As such, my proposal for GongCon is officially withdrawn and I resign my membership of the DAANZ.
I will not be attending any future DAANZ events while Sean is involved, nor any tournaments that have him as director. I will however see out my duties as TD of the ANZAC Cup until completion on December 1.

				This dispute is over.

Best of luck for the future.

				Sincerely,
Greg
