Grant:
Can I point you to the first purpose of the DAANZ which I have lifted from the
website.

The purposes of the DAANZ are:

   1. to publicise and promote the game of Diplomacy and games of a similar type
within Australia and New Zealand;

I don't think it was fair of you to have a go at Greg the way in which you did
so publicly. Greg is putting in a big effort and trying to do some things
differently to get people into Dip and promote the game. How about you support
the guy and GongCon.

Sean:
So what if there is ONE tournament where kids aren't welcome. I am all for kids
being invloved. However, I think there have been some issues with too many kids
now playing in small tournaments. Whereas previously you had 1 kid playing in a
3 or 4 board tournament, this wasn't an issue. However, when you get 4 kids
playing at a 1-2 board tournament, this is now creating some issues (which you
seem to continually ignore). These HAVE NOT been the best way to promote the
hobby to new players (IMHO).
I would love to be able to attend GongCon this year. Sounds like it will be
great. Unfortunately I have other priorities, so I won't be able to.

I think it is fantastic that the Nationals will be held in Albury. It will be a
good chance to showcase our hobby to a large group of people. I hope that this
is well prepared for, well run and it is a fantastic display. This is a good
start, but more will need to be done.

I hope the executive committee take a long hard look at themselves and some of
what they are doing. As Bill pointed out, the hobby is being split! Stop this
bickering and start being more constructive.
