[Daanz-dip] GongCon 2006 - Diplomacy, Poker and Age of Renaissance ?

If you want to go to GongCon and play two games of Dip then go. If you
don't like the format don't go.
I see this event as a more exciting innovation than Albury, and a well
thought out attempt to bring the FUN back to Dip tournaments.

Why is Albury a great innovation, when it conflicts with a well
established, well run and well attended Sydney tournament. Time will tell
whether this was a great idea or a doomsday experiment.

And yes we voted for the current leaders, but leadership withour
consultation is not leadership at all especially when you make decisions
that are contrary to the stated view of the many...

Greg is giving up his house for the weekend to allow people to get
together, play Dip and other stuff, and have fun. It will be the only
Sydney??? based tournament held this year and you want to bring it down. In
my view this is a bad call.

And by the way the only difference between the proposed format and last
years gongcon.
Last year was Dip + Nintendo+babysitting, this year it is Dip + Poker+
AofR.

Sounds like an improvement to me.
