Hi Sean,

Thanks for the phone call yesterday.

I was a bit suprised to see the Australian Games Expo 2007email, as I had assumed the idea had been dropped when conversation on DAANZ dried up some months ago.

As discussed yesterday I have given some thought to what I would like to do in regards to the NSW Champs in 2007 and beyond.

I am not going to run the NSW Champs on a 2-day weekend. You would know that was my firm conviction all along. It also agrees with the majority who voiced their opinion with feedback following this years Champs.

I am also unavailable to run the tournament on the Australia Day long weekend as Louise is due early February.

So, as you suggested yesterday, that just leaves a couple of long weekends currently occupied by other tournaments. I will not be approaching organisers to discuss having the NSW Champs in place of mine. If the DAANZ Exec would like to take an overall view of the tournament schedule that would be good. If there is a long weekend that is available for the NSW Champs then please let me know and I will reply to you (quickly) as to whether I will be available to run it at that time or not. You see I would much rather have the Exec do the running around knowing that they already have in mind the outcomes they are looking for.....
